I will get to it. Getting the Tab key working properly is a higher priority for me. :) Methinks those abbrevs are Fortran, rather than C, according to the original docs, they were disabled/discontinued for some reason.
Perhaps it's time to continue them?

I'd like to turn uppercase as the default, that means to toggle
upper and lower case while in cobol mode.
Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced with Emacs lisp yet.
If someone could help me with that, I'd look for fixing those
abbrevs too :-)
