I am now a newbie with computers, as I have worked as a professional developer since 1985 or so, and used Linux successfully since 1994. And now I did what you suggested. I downloaded and burned to CD the clonezilla-live-2.4.2-10-i686-pae.iso And it failed too, just like my earlier attempts now. This makes absolutely no sense, but the kernel and the lib/modules still are not matched! Maybe I am just going mad and out of my senses these days?
