next time, please use a more informative log message (at least, mention
the name of the function you add).

each "functional" change requires an entry in src/ChangeLog.
for now, I will be doing that for you, but it would be nice if you could
provide them as your cvs log messages.
do "cvs log" and see src/ChangeLog for inspiration.

note that http://clisp.podval.org/impnotes/gdbm.html is updated nightly
from the CVS, so you can see how things look like even if you do not
install XML tools (you should at least install libxml2 and do "make
check" in doc to validate the document).
