Greg also mentioned that he has been running under IRIX with no problems as well. I'll answer the best as I can, telling my experience. Chromium would not compile or run on our vis server "riptide", a 48-node IR. As an example, the cc compiler (MIPSpro Compiler Version 7.2.1.3m) failed on the //-style comments. "uname" reports the OS as: IRIX64 riptide 6.5 6.5.7f 01200451 IP27 mips Most of the other changes I made were merely adding casts to types that were undergoing automatic conversion anyway. I just added the explicit casts as were done in the rest of the code. I added -lm to the link line of most of the code in the "progs" directory as the linker complained that some trig functions were needed. As for running, I am still looking into why crappfaker is not working. It is acting as if the programs (I'm using atlantis as a test) were linked statically with the system OpenGL library. Coming to a more important point: Have any of my changes adversely affected anyone? I ran my changes on Linux to be sure that I hadn't affected that OS. But I didn't test under any others. Please let me know if I have broken Chromium for you. -Sean -- __ . ah...@ll... ( _ _.._ /||_ _ ._._ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory __)(/_(_|| ) /-|| )(/_| | ) |
