When I originally set out to work on this release earlier this year, I had every intention of doing primarily refactoring in preparation for Python 3 support. Unfortunately I was strapped for time in January and the process of refactoring code, committing changes, running 2to3 then running some tests (repeat) is incredibly time consuming, not to mention quite tedious. As it stands, v2.4.2 still has a good number of changes in it, mostly refactoring and bug fixes: - Fix issue where subclasses of Template failed to pick up attributes in the searchlist - Remove old/outdated bundled memcached python client - Allow for #encoding directives to exist after a comment (i.e. not the first line in a module) - Remove support for WebWare servlets (which caused significant performance slowdowns on Mac OS X) - Old/stale code pruned in preparation for Python 3 support You can download it from PyPI here: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Cheetah/2.4.2 I hope you enjoy :) Cheers, -R.
