This simple shell script creates 12 symlinks in /dev pointing to a user specified device as follows:

/dev/cdrw
/dev/cdrecorder
/dev/cdwriter
/dev/dvd
/dev/dvdr
/dev/dvdrom
/dev/dvdrw
/dev/dvdrecorder
/dev/dvdwriter
