I downloaded VCDEasy v1.0.7 icluding CDRDAO 1.1.5 as I have been trying = to convert home VHS videos to vcd format with help of TEMPGenc. Files = are accepted OK, and BIN and CUE files can be prepared, but when CDRDAO = is started to enable testing and burning of CDR, there is always a = failure to burn at the testing phase stating possible buffer underrun. I = use Memorex CDR 1* to 16*compatible media. My CDWriter is Sony = CRX120E,1.0J,with forced generic.mmc or generic-mmc-raw drivers. = aspichk confirms that my aspi drivers are appropriate. I have closed all = programmes via CTRL,ALT,DEL, except for systray and VCDEasy. Is there anything else I should be doing? Is my CDWriter adequate to the = task?---it is in your list of workable drives. I try to record at 1* or 2*speed with buffer of 512. I am a novice to recording technology and find you programme = fascinating, and, hopefully, it will provide me a way of achieving my = goal. I must admit to being at a loss with the different recording formats.I = have tried recirding my BIN and CUE files onto a CDR using EasyCD = Creator 3.5c which came with my computer. These record fine, but will = not play in my standalone DVD player(Naiko 2051).Is this because the = required channels are not being recorded to appropriately? My computer has Pentium3 600 processor with 256 Mb RAM and 40 Gb MAXTOR = 4 K040H2 with FAT 32. I hope you have time to read this and I hope I have included the = information you need. I would be grateful for thoughts as to how I can = get round this problem. With many thanks in anticipation, Jim Houston |
