I separately downloaded 2.1.5 from SF and there is a great deal more functionality, including undo, that is not present in the chemistry-development-kit.org applet. I makes me wonder if the c-d-k.org version is really 2.1.5... > > (8) A "select all" command is missing. I need to put in the two nitrogen atoms. As far as I can tell, the only way for me to do this is right click on node->Common Elements...->N. In my experience, most of a users' time is spent not in drawing the structure skeleton, but in putting on the heteroatoms. This time is wasted, ironically, by using the mouse, as opposed to the keyboard for atom labels. Of course, there will always be users that must use the mouse, but I think having the option to use the keyboard would give those users trained to work faster an option to do so. > > (12) SMILES export. I did, however see this in the jar I downloaded from sf.net. > Yes, some accellerators are defined, but we need more of them. Can > you give a list of all you would expect? I'll do that as an RFE. The online applet has no accelerators, not even for menus. Maybe that's due to it being an applet? The jar I downloaded from SF does have accelerators. |
