It does solve the case I mentioned earlier, but it introduces other more severe problems. Here's a test case: Open a buffer with C mode syntax installed. Set open-paren-in-column-0-is-defun-start to nil and then insert the following: /* ' () */ With the point after the comment, call backward-sexp. The point ends up at the open paren inside the comment. If open-paren-in-column-0-is-defun-start isn't set to nil above, it moves to bob as I expect. |
