Hello, I'm emailing to get some clarity on the "checkoutTimeout" property. Let's say I have: acquireRetryAttempts = 60; acquireRetryDelay = 30000; # milliseconds # Total acquire time is 60 * 30,000 ms = 30 minutes checkoutTimeout = 60000; # milliseconds Let's say there is a database outage with no currently open connections, and my application attempts to get a connection. How long will it wait before throwing an exception? Does it wait the 30 minutes for acquiring to fail, or simply 60 seconds as specified by "checkoutTimeout"? Does "checkoutTimeout" only come into affect when all the connections in the pool are utilized? Thanks, Steve -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Meaning-of-%22checkoutTimeout%22%2C-especially-during-a-database-outage-tp27249095p27249095.html Sent from the c3p0 - users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
