Bugs item #522011, was opened at 2002-02-24 01:45 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=103248&aid=522011&group_id=3248 Category: BZFlag Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Dave Brosius (dbrosius) Assigned to: Tim Riker (timriker) Summary: GM/Stealth bug? Initial Comment: Here's one open to interpretation. If I have been locked on by a GM shot, and it's barrellin' towards me, and I'm lucky enough to pick up a Stealth flag at that moment, I think the GM shot shouldn't continue to lock on to me. What'ya think? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Valery Fouques (valoche) Date: 2002-02-26 11:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=277537 Hm... you may be wrong. Let me explain how I think the GM works: It has a heat sensor, and it's target is remotely set by the tank operator. Once the GM has been locked on you, there is no mean to being unlocked except with a player's action (lock on another tank or lock on fresh air). That's why. You may say "yes, but what if the GM had a radar sensor instead of a heat sensor?" And my anwer would be: too expensive ;-) Okay, the GM's heat sensor is a little more sophisticated than you may think; it uses some sort of fingerprint to recognize a specific tank, and it can see through walls. I hope I helped you, or at least made you smile.
