[bzflag - Help] Game minimizes about when I hit my left mouse

Greetings
Usually about 25o/o of the time when I try to fire with my left mouse button,
my game minimizes to my task bar at the bottom of my screen, by the time I click
on the game to maximize it again I've already been shot (my tank remains active
and doesn't pause).  Has this happened to anyone else, and any suggestions on
what might be causing this and how to fix it.  Gets very frustrating when I
get someone in my sights, try to fire and my screen minimizes on me.  I've been
playing on and off for about a year and a half and have had this problem ever
since.
