Initial Comment:
Given  2 objects, one a pristine object, another an object that may have had groups in it rotated, translated, maybe scaled, then their transformation matrices pushed, find a way to unpush the transformation matrices and place them in the model tree.  Tree hierarchy would be identical, though names may be slightly different.
