Category: Geometry Editing Group: unexpected behavior >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Dwayne (dwaynelk) >Assigned to: Keith Bowman (indianlarry) Summary: clone does not name correctly Initial Comment: clone should follow all of the naming convensions used in build_region. It is important that these two tools work in concert. The command 'clone -i 1 -n 2 reg.r1' will create geometry as follows: reg.r1 u solid.s1 + solid.s1+1 - solid.s1-1 to reg.r2 u solid.s2 + solid.s21 - solid.s31 and reg.r3 u solid.s3 + solid.s22 - solid.s32 It should create reg.r2 u solid.s2 + solid.s2+1 - solid.s2-1 and reg.r3 u solid.s3 + solid.s3+1 - solid.s3-1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Keith Bowman (indianlarry) Date: 2009-03-11 14:25 Message: Updated the clone command to work with the naming convention used in the "build_region" tclscript. Sean had some neat ideas about using a “naming convention” attribute in the database. This attribute could be used by tools like "build_region", "clone" or even "mged" to enforce, check for conformity or simply aid users in following a given naming convention. Something for you to think about for a future feature request. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=640802&aid=2663102&group_id=105292 |
