In raytrace.h there is a statement to the effect that the hit_point and hit_normal members will be removed from struct hit. I'm currently using the RT_HIT_NORMAL macro as used in the examples in raytrace.h (version 7.0). Will the change affect anything except maybe the user will then have to provide the _hitp vector as well as the _normal vector as required now? For best practices then, what is the recommended way to get the hit point coords and hit normal vectors (in and out) of a partition struct after a hit so as to be forward compatible? Thanks.
