Bombermaaan: stable version 1.4 released

Bombermaaan is a classic Bomberman game, cloned on original SNES games. It's similar to Dynablaster, too.

We've released the new stable version 1.4 of the Bombermaaan game reflecting the latest features, changes and fixes, built from subversion revision 627.

With this release, you can run Bombermaaan natively on Linux i386 and AMD64. We've ported the source code so it can be compiled under Linux using GNU C++ compiler for example. There are also debian installer packages available now.
Search for the new power-up "remote fuse bombs". Once grabbed, you are able to decide when your bombs should explode.
We've added a level portal, where you can share your maps with others. Have a look at the web site, section "Levels".

Bombermaaan: experimental version for Linux and Win32 (SDL)

Bombermaaan is a classic Bomberman game, cloned on original SNES games. It's similar to Dynablaster, too.

Bombermaaan was designed and customized for the Windows environment all the time. There were many Windows specific calls. However, it was possible to run Bombermaaan on Linux using Wine.

We're trying to port the project so you can compile and run Bombermaaan on Linux without Wine. Markus Drescher joined the project a few days ago and is working hard on the Linux port. Furthermore, the proprietary FMOD sound library has been replaced by the free SDL library for both Windows and Linux. There are Debian packages avaiable for download now. You can also try Bombermaaan for Win32 using the SDL libraries, which are included in the zip file.... read more

Bombermaaan: experimental version (Rev. 264) released

Bombermaaan is a classic Bomberman game, cloned on original SNES games. It's similar to Dynablaster, too.

We've released two zip files of the Bombermaaan game reflecting the latest change, built from subversion revision 264.

This release addresses only one thing. The clouds in the opening screen didn't move smootly. Sometimes they hopped. I've also experienced that the mouse pointer didn't move from time to time. This was also true for the draw game screen.
PLEASE try the new version and let us know (post a message at https://sourceforge.net/sendmessage.php?touser=988911 or leave a comment in the forum) your experiences. It's also interesting for us if you feel that the game speed changed during a match (well, it shouldn't).... read more

Bombermaaan: experimental version (Rev. 247) released

Bombermaaan is a classic Bomberman game, cloned on original SNES games. It's similar to Dynablaster, too.

We've released two zip files of the Bombermaaan game reflecting the latest enhancements and bug fixes, built from subversion revision 247.

This release also addresses some graphic changes in the 32 pixels version of the game. These changes are: the bomber sprites were misplaced in the previous release revision 153, the stunt sprites (can be seen when a bomber gets a bomb on his head) were not precise and the background in the menus had black areas. The two new contamination types are present in both versions (skull item can result in invisibility or flameproof). Both versions are packed with the readme file now.... read more
