[Boa Constr] New to boa

I'm just using boa for the first time.

I've noticed that it hasn't been updated since 2005. It's pretty
disappointing to see it is still in alpha stage. Is there not much
demand for further development, or just not enough time for the
developers to work on the project?

Is there a replacement for boa?
