The volume slider for the microphone appears in
the "playback" or "output" view in mixer
applications (kmix or alsamixer), together with
the speaker volume.
Strangely, this only seems to happen in kmix and alsamixer.
gnome-volume-control does it right.
Could it be a problem these two mixers share? We think we
are registering the audio device properly. Maybe they aren't
prepared for a device with only two controls.
Could someone have a closer look at why these mixers are
doing this?
