Hi Steven, I had not used csound and therefore Blue for a long time. Now I have come back and see the amazing development of blue during these few months! So first of all I’d like to thank you for all your efforts to make such a great composition environment. Today I tried to use blue live for the first time. The original command line seems to work but there is no audio. I get this message in the command prompt (I am on Window’s XP): "Began Exec<consound -W -d -o devaudio -L stdin "C:\Program FIles\blue\examples\pieces\onTheSensationsOfTone\tempCsd46351.csd"> But that is all I see until I click stop. I have tried clicking on the triggers but it doesn't make any difference. I also had another question concerning real time performance. Would it be possible to have the widgets control krate variables? just a suggestion I don't know if it is practical.I know that csoundapi~ is designed for real-time performance but it would be nice to have one environment that includes everything. as for fltk opcodes in my opinion they are not very reliable (at least in windows), somehow the graphic is prioritized by Windows system and for instance moving windows around will create glitches (in my experience); also it is extremely time consuming to use the fltk opcodes. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this. I would be grateful if you have any suggestions. Thanks again Peiman |
