#17 Blat and SQL server

I'm currently using CDOSYS to send emails from SQL
server, but its not working reliably.

I've been recommended Blat, and I know it can be
executed from an SQL stored procedure, but is it
possible for it to return an error code to indicate
whether the email address was correct, the email server
is correctly defined, and whether the mail was actually
sent?

Any help is appreciated!

Blat returns a zero when the mail is sent, and a value
greater than zero when there is an error. Here is the list
of error codes returned from Blat, and reasons --
