Hello, At the end of my two weeks of vacation, I remarked two things: 1. The bacula-users list functions quite well without me. There are many high quality responses given. Nice! 2. Not reading the 50 or so Bacula emails per day that I get, allowed me to do a lot more programming! Unless I hear some convincing arguments to the contrary, I will shortly divert all incoming mail for bacula-users to my bacula folder, where I will briefly examine it once a week or once every two weeks. I will remain on bacula-devel, where people can contact me if required. I will also receive any email sent directly to me providing it is not a response to a previous post to the bacula-user's list (or you change the subject) . I'll modify the web site to note this change, and also indicate that document suggestions should be posted to the devel list (please don't hesitate to inform anyone who sends doc changes to the users list about this). I'm not intending to lose touch with what is going on, only delay reading the emails for a week or two principally to avoid the temptation of answering where others can now perfectly well do so. This change will allow me to focus more time on writing code, working with developers, and responding to bugs entered in the bugs database. If complicated technical questions come up on the user's list, they can be forwarded to the developer's list, but change the subject or I won't see them for a week or so ... -- Best regards, Kern |
