The following bug has been SUBMITTED. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0000676 ====================================================================== Reported By: jnorris Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Bug ID: 676 Category: Win32 File Daemon (client) Reproducibility: always Severity: major Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 09-19-2006 14:40 PDT Last Modified: 09-19-2006 14:40 PDT ====================================================================== Summary: File restoration to win32 client fails Description: I have been testing bare metal backup and restores of a Windows 2003 server using Win32-beta 1.39.22 client, and 1.39.22-20060908 director running Debian Linux. I utilize a BartPE CD (based on Windows 2003) to perform restoration of files to freshly formatted partitions on another server and discovered that the restore fails when running Win32-beta 1.39.22 clients when the "Where" parameter is "*None*" (i.e. restore to original file location). Using Win32 1.38.10 client during the restore, with identical restore parameters, the restore job succeeds. Note that if I specify a subdirectory (/tmp/bacula-restore) for the "Where" parameter of the restore job, the restoration succeeds utilizing the Win32-beta 1.39.22 client. ====================================================================== Bug History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 09-19-06 14:40 jnorris New Bug 09-19-06 14:40 jnorris File Added: job-report.bad ====================================================================== |
