A BUGNOTE has been added to this bug. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0000416 ====================================================================== Reported By: Steltek Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Bug ID: 416 Category: Win32 File Daemon (client) Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 09-08-2005 03:19 PDT Last Modified: 09-09-2005 03:46 PDT ====================================================================== Summary: Installer tries to overwrite pthreadVCE.dll after having started Bacula-FD Description: Just installed the Win32 client and was asked by the installer whether I wanted to start the Bacula Client now. Upon answering yes, the client was startet and the installer continued, giving me an error message 'cannot write pthreadVCE.dll, file is in use' which is normal as the client that was just started is using it. IMO, the FD should really only be started at the very last step of the installation routine (just before exiting installation). ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArnoL - 09-09-2005 03:46 PDT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I can confirm this. Modifying the installer accordingly is surely the best solution. However, I could manage by stopping the FD, installing the console again, then starting the FD again. A client reported that he simply started the install a second time and it worked, but I have not verified that.
