Generally, network errors of this sort are caused by another program using the same port -- for example, HP printers sometimes use port 9103. If this is the case, you need to either remove the printer, change its port, or change the Bacula port (in the Director). You might try turning on debug -d100 and see if the output looks interesting -- particularly that produced by the SD.
