I'm using bacula-1.38.10 on a Dell SC430 running CentOS 4.4. The system has a DAT-72 drive that has been working fine. Recently, the backups have increased beyond our initial expectations. It appears that hardware compression is disabled (or not available), since the volume ("SAT004") that it should be using was listed as full (40639945417 bytes). I changed the job, file and volume retention periods all to 3 weeks and restarted bacula-dir. I then pruned all files and jobs (yes, auto-recycling is enabled for normal operations). I also purged the full volume. I cancelled any jobs that were running (prior to the bacula-dir restart), but any newly attempted runs just seem to sit in the queue. When I do a "status dir", it lists the new job as "running", but no activity is happening. However, if I do a "status client", it shows all of the cancelled jobs, still sitting there. And any future jobs are still referencing the wrong volume ("SAT003"), rather than the intended volume ("SAT004"). Any suggestions? Here is the output from the relevant commands. Thanks in advance! # mt -f /dev/nst0 status SCSI 2 tape drive: File number=0, block number=0, partition=0. Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x47 (TR-5).
