First off I would hate to inadvertantly blow some stuff onto the "wrong" DVD (I tend to use the drive for other things when bacula isn't running). Also one of my pet peeves with my existing backup to DVD solution is that I currently spool to file and manually blow to DVD when I get enough data. But given that ISO doesn't like >2Gb files I end up with two volumes per DVD and bacula always recycles a volume from two different DVDs rather than both that I put on one DVD. Truncating a volume becomes difficult if the DVD is shared and finally if you plan to do that why bother with the "vol parts" stuff anyway just append separate volumes. For me having multiple volumes on one disk would just become a logistical nightmare. ... > > > I've got the full -sd debug logs if that helps but they are on a > > different computer and I will not be able to get them until > the morning. > > OK, for the moment, there is no rush. No problem. Just let me know. Richard |
