I think this is probably for Kern. You may have addressed this in 1.33 but I can't find the email train. However, I feel this has been discussed before. I have 3 pools defined for Full, Differential and Incremental backups. Incremental backups are done daily, differentials weekly and full monthly to the respective pool. These are backed up to files. I had to change a fileset last week and so the backup was upgraded from inc to full However, it still went to the incremental pool. I wasn't concerned at the time but of course, I have just realised that as the Inc pool is recycled weekly, that tonight the full backup would have been overwritten by this weeks incremental backup. I forced a manual full backup to the Full pool today. I guess this is expected behaviour even if its not what I wanted. Have/Are you intending to link pools to type more strongly so Bacula knows if it has to upgrade a backup it also knows to change pools?
