I have had several filesets that crash, but I have never been able to reliably 
produce the probem here, nor after many hours of looking at the code was I 
able to find the problem.

The old FileSet code is turned off in 1.36.3 and removed in 1.37. For me, that 
resolves the problem -- *finally*.
