Greetings, I've been running a BackupPC server that backs up a few linux boxes and one windows box. It's worked successfully for many months. I recently upgraded the windows box to XP and while the backups worked the first few times, they now fail to run. It appears the backups timeout. On the backuppc server, i'm running: BackupPC 2.0.2, OpenSSH_2.5.2p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, rsync version 2.5.6 protocol version 26. On the windows box, i'm running cygwin1.dll 1005.5.0.0, OpenSSH_3.7.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0.9.7c, rsync version 2.5.6 protocol version 26. Here's the error log (some lines deleted for brevity): Running: /usr/bin/ssh -l schooky svelte /usr/bin/rsync --server --sender --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group --devices --links --times --block-size=2048 --recursive -v --include=/data --exclude=/\* . / Xfer PIDs are now 1470 Got remote protocol 26 Xfer PIDs are now 1470,1471 create d 770 1003/545 0 . create d 700 1003/513 0 data create d 755 1003/513 0 data/MSF create d 700 1003/513 0 data/contracting create d 700 1003/513 0 data/contracting/invoices create d 700 1003/513 0 data/documents create d 700 1003/513 0 data/documents/resume pool 700 1003/513 11264 data/documents/resume/Qualifications.doc create d 700 1003/513 0 data/documents/resume/julianeSamples pool 700 1003/513 28160 data/documents/resume/julianeSamples/bio-narrative Christopher Gergen.doc pool 700 1003/513 33280 data/documents/resume/julianeSamples/shinta resume.doc Parent read EOF from child: fatal error! All the files in that directory are fairly small. thanks for any insight. e |
