Don, Slow but somewhat steady progress has been made. The library (libbackuppcd) has been completed to the degree that the clients (backuppcd-client and backuppcd-tar) can be rewritten to use the library, but I've only done one of them (backuppcd-client) and am working on adding RDIFF support for transfering partial files. The project, as it is now, does work.. and I'm using it on my systems, but is slow because it does a full transfer of all the files. If you'd like me to release a snapshot of the work-to-date, I'd be happy to do so. Let me know if you have any more questions.
