FYI, there are hard linking methods in windows; they're called junctions (win 2k, XP, and 2003) and can be used with the sysinternals junction program (http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/junction.html). It is open source, but not free software (the code is available, but may only be distributed with permission). I don't know how much refactoring will be required use juctions, but it may be possible to do. (Perhaps this could be a feature request, but I know nothing about how hard that would be to get working.) Bill |
