I've got one server that all it does is back itself up that gives this error. It started out only occasionally failing, but now I can't complete a full backup without it bailing out with I've ruled out ssh by invoking rsync directly, and when that failed with the same exact error, I tried tar which also died with a similar message. Running the backup from the command line didn't reveal any additional interesting error messages. It's like something is breaking pipes on the machine after a random amount of time. I am very confused by this one.... but have seen other similar reports. -Dave |
