Hi, I have a current BackupPC installation which uses it's local disks for the pool. I've been asked to use NAS storage for backing up an additional 6 servers we're adding to the backups. The NAS server we use is a Snap Server 650 (Linux based) so makes available it's storage via NFS, Samba, iSCSI. I'm not sure how to do this or whether it would work for BackupPC (I'm using the latest version). Can BackupPC use two disk areas? ie. keep it's existing servers (about 8 of them) backing up to local disk and then adding another area from NAS (NFS mounted for example) and tell it to backup the new 6 servers onto the NFS mount point? Or will I need a new BackupPC installation somewhere? Thanks. Michael. |
