if you weren't striping data across them, you should actually be able to
recover some of your data, up to the point of the failed drive in the array.

In the future tho, some sort of RAID array would be good. I personally use a
RAID array in our backuppc server, and then have a separate tape backup
server which backs up the most important data to tape, which I take offsite.
