At frame 65 in VirtualDub, I get this error:
AviSynth read error: Avisynth: caught an access
violation at 0x10026b80, attempting to read from 0x00000040

Removing either the reduceby2 command or the fadeout
command fixes the problem.

I've attached the avi file. I hope thats ok.
