Hello, I've been using my IsoJtagISP jtag ice clone (http://www.floppyspongeonline.com/automation/isojtagisp/isojtagisp.php) to program and debug atmel chips for a few years now, and have used avarice from time to time to program from my linux box, it's a great little tool. My question is, seeing as avarice is a link between a jtag interface and gdb, could it be used to program/debug other devices in gdb/eclipse ie xilinx fpga's which I've just started trying to use. It would be great if I could as my laptop doesn't have a parr port which most of the other jtag designs require, and I don't want to have to spend xxx hundreds of dollars on another usb jtag device when I've got one already. Would it be simply a case of adding device descriptors into avarice for other devices, or is it a completely different scenario? Regards, -- *Andrew Leech * |
