Deters (terminills) >Assigned to: ADAM Olivier (olivieradam) Summary: Write-protected requester is never shown. Initial Comment: Write-protected requester is never shown. Suggested by ncafferkey ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: ADAM Olivier (olivieradam) Date: 2011-12-30 01:25 Message: ACTION_WRITE_PROTECT has been added to AFS and a popup requester to CDVD in V1. Needs backport in V0 to be closed. Note: Requester is implemented on the filesystem side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Neil Cafferkey (ncafferkey) Date: 2011-11-29 16:30 Message: The problem can be seen with this command on pc-i386: Echo Hello TO CD2:h ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Neil Cafferkey (ncafferkey) Date: 2011-11-29 16:29 Message: I mean write-protect for volumes, either physically or through ACTION_WRITE_PROTECT. The write-protect error is reported, but a requester is not shown to give the user a chance to unprotect the disk (e.g. by sliding the tab on a floppy). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: ADAM Olivier (olivieradam) Date: 2011-11-29 14:14 Message: You mean write-protected requester for files or for volumes? I implemented the ACTION_WRITE_PROTECT packet, my side, in AFS on ABI V1. It makes C:Lock work, although there is still a problem: C:Diskchange lifts the protection (with or without a pass key) because of its use of Inhibit(). I tested with mounted AFS disk images in FDSK. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=2501660&aid=3430668&group_id=43586 |
