ABCL 0.0.6 is now available: http://armedbear.org/abcl.html This is still just a source release. The README file in the root directory of the distribution contains build instructions. By request, build-abcl.lisp should now work with CLISP on both Linux and Windows, as well as with SBCL, CMUCL, Allegro and LispWorks on platforms they support. In addition, I've verified (I think) that ABCL 0.0.5 can build ABCL 0.0.6 on both Linux and Windows. Please let me know if you run into any further build issues. If all goes well, I'll try to put together a binary distribution for 0.0.7. There are a number of minor improvements and worthwhile bugfixes in this release, but all of the major things that were wrong with ABCL 0.0.5 are still wrong with ABCL 0.0.6. ABCL 0.0.6 fails 77 out of 21085 tests in the GCL ANSI test suite. ABCL 0.0.6 works with CL-PPCRE, but requires CL-PPCRE-1.2.8. Older versions of CL-PPCRE contained a bit of code that assumed equal fixnums were EQ, which is not required to be true by ANSI, and which is not generally true in ABCL. Thanks for your support. -Peter |
