Thanks :) Yes I do. However, I'm extensively involved in another OSS project that is completing a new release 3 years in the making plus I need to get up to speed on all the quirks/issues with anyInventory which will take a while, but I'm "hoping" to have a dev cycle/plan in place this coming fall (very late fall). I won't be knowledgeable on tech issues until then. I believe anyInventory has a lot of potential from what I've seen, but I also know it needs an overhaul as well ... Finke filled me in - very briefly - on that aspect. Anyways, it will be nice to get to know y'all and I look forward to taking this project forward. Mister Ed |

Looks like we have a new developer to take over from Finke. Hooray! Welcome! Do you plan to continue development? Thanks! - Bill Baltimore, MD, USA |

The project isn't in active development, but I am still supporting it and plan on working on a version 2.1 when I have some time. Hi guys! I've deployed anyinv, now after adding around 50 categories i am in deep schit now... Scriping is now dying when i click on Categories link. as depicted from logs of apache "[client x.x.x.x] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/share/pear/DB/common.php on line 1148, referer: http://x.x.x.x/inv/index.php?c=3D1" i was feeling that its becoming slow as the number of cateogories where increasing.. but now its givnig blank page. Also whenever i click on Item i= t also taking too much time to open.. Altough there are only 50 items uptil now. Kindly suggest me what to do. as i am interested in using this sofware due to its high customization. I think should break categories/items into limit of like 20 items/page , its displaying all items/cateogiries on single page which i believe is cuasing timeout. please tell me some solution now.. as i 've spent lots of time on making cateogories :( regards, Geni |

Geni, If you hold down the Ctrl key (I'm not sure what the Apple equivalent is) while clicking on the one option that is selected for administration, it will unselect the option. David, anyInventory uses the PEAR DB abstraction layer <http://pear.php.net/package/DB>, which usually comes installed with PHP. DB.php is a PEAR file; it appears that you have PEAR installed, so you may want to ensure that the DB package is available. Several other users have reported this problem, and have said that re-installing PEAR fixed it for them. Chris Finke On 5/31/05, David Lynum <dl...@yo...> wrote: > Dear List, >=20 > I forgot to include in my original message some entries in the Apache > error.txt file. >=20 > [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Warning: main(DB.php) [<a > href=3D'function.main'>function.main</a>]: failed to open stream: No such > file or directory in C:\\Program Files\\Apache > Group\\Apache2\\htdocs\\install.php on line 10 > [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error: main() [<a > href=3D'function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required > 'DB.php' (include_path=3D'.;C:\\php5\\pear') in C:\\Program Files\\Apache > Group\\Apache2\\htdocs\\install.php on line 10 >=20 > Thanks, >=20 > David >=20 >=20 > |

I'm running on Fedora Core 3, Apache v2.0.52 and PHP v4.3.10. I upgraded from v2.0rc2. If I go back to my v2.0rc2 installation, you can see the data. Weird. This isn't critical as you can tell, I've just started configuring. If you feel like doing the troubleshooting, feel free. However, I can easily start from scratch. Thanks! I've upgraded to v2.0 and everything seems to work, but Items themselves don't display and Item's Values don't display (Default value does). However, when browsing the db, the data is there. Likewise, at the bottom of the anyInventory screen, it shows I've inventoried 3 items. What am I missing? Thanks, Clif |
