Hi Li Li Thanks for your question. ANUGA is a 2 dimensional model which means that it does not take vertical flows into account. However, as you say, it does represent surfaces by having values for water level (stage) and momentum at each (x, y) location. So at the boundary you can supply those values at the boundary.
