Ok, added inner text, fileset and filelist, changed overwrite default to true, added append, changed handling of not present source files. The funcationally should now be the same as current concat, except perhaps for handling of some error conditions. I will give the code some more testing, and make sure it passes the ant unit tests and try to submit a cvs diff tomorrow. The enhancement request triggered my e-mail. :) Peter On Thursday 20 March 2003 12:51, Stefan Bodewig wrote: > On Thu, 20 Mar 2003, peter reilly <pet...@co...> wrote: > > I have a modified (rewritten) concat task - concat2 which: > > As long as your new tasks preserves the functionality of the <concat> > task, I'd think that chances are big that all of your changes could be > moved into the core Ant task. > > > 1) takes a path for source files > > You'd have to preserve fileset and filelist, but that would be trivial > (just pass them through to your nested path). > > > 2) does optional dependency checking (sourcefiles->destfile) > > As you say, optional. > > > 3) has optional filterchains to filter the source files > > There already is an enhancement request to that effect (by you?) in > Ant's bugzilla. > > > 4) has optional header and a footer element > > Again, optional. > > Stefan > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Tablet PC. > Does your code think in ink?
