Hi all, I'd like to report what could be called a bug. These days, some changes have been made in the socket handling and this can be correlated with some new bugs for me. These bugs are not important. They are just annoying because of the popup window "report a bug". The bugs happens when leaving a switchboard (after 5 idle minutes) or when trying to disconnect. After launching amsn in a terminal, I discovered that when doing these actions, some chars are printed on the terminal : some "d" characters or "sockError". After reading the source code, I just commented out the two following lines in protocol.tcl : puts $oldstat (the $oldstat variable seems to be equal to "d") puts sockError And now everything is working fine. Or seems to work fine anyway. Indeed, before the changes in the socket code, the two lines quoted above were never executed. The fact that they are executed is suspicious but I am not good in tcl programming enough to find out what's really happening. Please excuse my bad english and keep your good work ! |
