aMSN has a hidden feature: support for sending big pictures aMSN can send big pictures, but it has not that option when you open a new picture. amsn uses 'convert' to make a 96x96 file and save it as .png and.gif format, and it also creates a .dat plain text file that contains the creation date and the .png filename. If I do this manually, using the gimp, without changing the picture size, amsn doesn't give any error, the picture is visible in Change Display Picture dialog, and the other user receives the picture! I think there could be an option to allow sending big pictures, and to set the maximum picture size, then use convert with those size parameters. It isn't too difficult to do, but I can't do this because I don't know anything about tcl/tk programming. It's only a feature suggestion, because it's cool :D |
