 Looks like your strings command is severely broken.

 It may indeed be a better idea to change the configure test
 to run sweep -v. Yep, works fine here, and I hope this doesn't
 cause any problems with different versions of sweep.

 The latter line says 57080 on my system ... I think you need to upgrade
 your .dat and .ide files :)
