My system is AmavisD running in a chroot jail on OpenBSD 3.5 (as per the FlakShak docs). I had an older version of AmavisD installed that would create bsmtp formatted quarantine files and have recently upgraded the whole setup (minus OpenBSD to the latest revs of everything. Everything seems to work, except that I'm getting the following error messages from AmavisD when it's found a spam message: 451 4.5.0 Error in processing, id=20017-01, spam quar+notif FAILED: Closing pipe to /usr/bin/gzip: exit 1 at /usr/local/sbin/amavisd line 3567, <GEN9> line 380. I'm not clear from that message if the problem is with gzip or amavisd or what. There is a quarantine folder and a zero byte .gz file is created for the spam message. I could have sworn I had previously forced AmavisD to use bsmtp format messages, but can't remember how or find a referring web page. I've tried testing gzip in the chroot jail and it seems to function fine. I've set up AmavisD to D_PASS spam messages (I wanted to make sure none of my rules were forcing false positives under the new regime), but no spam is getting through at all. Can anyone help shed some light on what's causing this error or how I might go about troubleshooting it? Thanks! -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content, and is believed to be clean. |
