[AMaViS-user] amavis-perl: $LDA needles (in my case)

Trying to get amavis-perl 12 in sendmail 8.12.10 running on an up to
date gentoo box took me hours to get it working. The solution is
very simple. I figured out, that $LDA consists of an "-" (no idea
where it was coming from) or "- --" (depending on the Mlocal
entry in sendmail.cf). However just removing $LDA in the
forward_mail subroutine solved my headache:
 
-open(MAIL, "|-") || exec($LDA, @LDAARGS);
+open(MAIL, "|-") || exec(@LDAARGS);
 
Might this be of much help for any other user having trouble to
get it running.
