Let me get this straight, because if it's not straight here, then it's not likely to be clear on the users list, either. Chris seems to be saying that sending what I suspect to be live viruses to sec...@am... isn't kosher. I must look up logs that I hav no access to, instead, in order to find out which virus scanner manufacturer I might want to make a report to. This is a lot of trouble. I've asked questions of this sort of my own administration, and the question has fallen to me by not being answered, but the answer you are giving me is difficult enough that I'm expecting a lot of viruses to go unreported because AMAVIS doesn't identify the scanners that it runs in e-mail headers. Now, at this point, I'm thinking that there should eventually if not already be no point in running AMAVIS. It's not going to kill anything while it runs, but I don't see how spending this much time to report a virus could be productive, so I would've been better off if it didn't show up in the headers as something for me to look up. _______ P.S. You will shortly hav reason to make duplications in answer, and the previous ones were clearly redundant, since I can't send to the list unless I am subscribed, and it would be strange for me to resign when I was waiting for an answer. |
