The package allows users to create a sql server. More specifically, the open source media application XBMC uses a sql database to organize media. A user can create a central database location so that each XBMC device can access the central database instead of using multiple local databases. There are a lot of other media apps that use a sql database. Alt-F packages already have a sqlite package, but mysql is a more comprehensive database manager. I am currently using the ffp-reloaded version of mysql, but it is the only application I use in ffp. Having mysql in an Alt-F package would help out tremendously.
