Greetings from Russia! I've found some problems with my soundcard under Linux, would you be so kind as to tell me the way out ? Motherboard : Asus P3B-F (440BX chipset) Distribution : Mandrake 8.0 Russian Edition Kernel : 2.2.18 recompiled with "modular sound support" and without choosing any card (as it was said in alsa-HOWTO) and with PNP support (shall I turn it off during next compile ?) =20 alsa version : drivers,utils,libs - 0.5.10 Snd card model : Creative SB AudioPCI 128, rev 8,(CT5803) According to WIn98 settings: (no problems with sound - I use 2 OS on my PC) Port : 220 IRQ : 7 8 bit DMA : 1 16 bit DMA : 7 MPU-401 settings: Port : 330 IRQ : 7 after booting and logging as root 'cat /proc/pci/' shows: Bus 0, device 11, function 0: Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 (rev 8). Slow devsel. Master Capable. Latency=3D32. Min Gnt=3D12.Max Lat=3D12= 8. I also tried to change sound card's PCI slot from 2 to 5,via 3 and 4, after that manually switching IRQ for this slot in BIOS setup and locking others slots IRQs..nothing :( how can I set IRQ for soundcard manually ? - Best regards, Dan da...@ba... |
