Aug 22 18:33:28 localhost kernel: ALSA card-opl3sa2.c:629: Oops, WSS not detected at 0x534 Aug 22 18:33:28 localhost kernel: ALSA card-opl3sa2.c:728: Yamaha OPL3-SA soundcard not found or device busy This is on a Toshiba Satellite 2535CDS running Redhat 7.1 with a 2.4.3-12 kernel. ALSA was configured without isapnp, debug full, debug detect on. The sound chip settings are configured in CMOS (plug and play disabled). This is alsa-driver-0.9.0beta6. My modules.conf is: alias usb-controller usb-ohci alias char-major-116 snd alias char-major-114 soundcore alias sound-card-0 snd-card-opl3sa2 alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0 options snd-card-opl3sa2 snd_port=0x370 snd_sb_port=0x220 snd_wss_port=0x530 snd_midi_port=0x330 snd_fm_port=0x388 snd_irq=5 snd_dma1=1 snd_dma2=0 snd_isapnp=0 Note: I justified options for the email. It's really one line. What's wierd is that 0x534 (from log) is not an option for this port in CMOS. One thought just came to mind. Should I reconfigure/compile with debug-detect turned off because PNP isn't being used here? Thanks for your help, Phil |
